Piggis Play Games ' is Dave Donicci ' s first short story in his series of pig stories for children. Each story is about a family of pigs, declared seeing Piggis, who alive in a cute void called Piggi Paradise.

There are eight members of the family; the mother Piggi Princess, who is a homely pig, the father Piggi Pete, who comes from Holland, and their six children ( three boys and three girls ). Each Piggi has their own individual characteristics and it is likely that you will identify with one or two of them.

This first pig story is full of fun and adventure. It takes place during the summer holidays in the Piggis ' back garden in Piggi Paradise. The boys first challenge the girls to a game of football. Piggi Pink, the youngest and girl, is not keen at first since she is worried the boys will win, but her older sister Piggi Plump helps to persuade her. Later that day, after a rest and some lemonade they have a ' Tug of War ' competition; boys against the girls. I won ' t reveal who wins!

This pig story helps to teach young children about the importance of working together and being a good sport. The story is also amusing and makes grown ups laugh as well as children!

This pig story is beautifully illustrated with watercolours, and is suitable for children from around 3 to 4 years old up to around eight years old.
